Luftwaffe Messerschmitt BF 109 F-4 Russian Front Yellow Wing Relic Display

The most active aerial front in World War II was over the Soviet Union, between the German Luftwaffe and the Soviet Air Force. All German aircraft that fought in that theater were specially painted in the field, with bright yellow-orange, to help distinguish them from those of the enemy. Original examples of that paint are extremely rare, especially from Luftwaffe fighters, but this relic display combines an authentic and well-preserved piece of aluminum skin from a Messerschmitt Bf-109 F-4, with a side profile reconstructed from its remains, and the history of its loss in combat.

Each display is limited edition, signed and numbered.

11x17 overall size. Black frame with glass. Ready to hang.

Each piece of aluminum has been carefully cut from a larger panel, as shown in the images, from the lower wing of this aircraft (none include the Balkencross).
