Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat Control Surface Linen Relic Display

Own an authentic piece of this historic F4F-3 Wildcat.
.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat held the air against the Japanese in the early stages of the Pacific War, until the introduction of F6F Hellcat in 1943.
.

This piece of very well-preserved control surface linen retains over 95% of its light blue early-war camouflage paint. It was part of a terrific collection of linen and aluminum that was apparently collected c. 1940 to 1942, based upon the aircraft represented (including the Brewster Buffalo and Vultee Vindicator); each piece having been nicely described in black paint by the collector.

Each section of original linen is paired with Ron Cole's Wildcat composition c. 2009, and nicely presented in a black 11 x 17 inch frame - ready to hang. Each signed & numbered - and very limited.
