The Liberty Theater, Zanesville, Ohio, Winter 1948 - by Ron Cole

Many in Zanesville, Ohio will remember the beautiful Liberty theater. Built in 1927 at great expense, and adorned with marble and the finest materials of the pre-Depression era, she was remodeled after World War II in the bright neon and mirrored guise depicted in my painting here (c. 1948). Located on 5th Street, directly across from the current Courthouse, the Liberty was torn down in 1974.
