United States Army Air Force B-24J - 'TARFU' by Ron Cole 
 
B-24J 'Tarfu' over Truk - 7th AF, 11th BG, 26 BS, July 13th 1944. These bombers were intercepted by more than a dozen Zeros that day, armed with phosphorus anti-aircraft aerial bombs. 'TARFU' was badly shot up by the time the action was over, but shot down one Zero - probably from the 201st Kokutai.
