Authentic aluminum fragment of the world's only XP-82 Twin Mustang paired in a beautiful wall-hanging display with original artwork of this historic aircraft's first flight by Ron Cole.
Only one XP-82 was ever built, and this is probably your only chance to own an actual piece of the aircraft - replete with original paint - that represented the final warbird evolution of World War 2's P-51 fighter. This aircraft was first flown in 1945, and later acted as a test-bed for the new U.S. Air Force until 1950. Pieces of it were eventually preserved by a private collector in Ohio, until being purchased by warbird enthusiast Tom Reilly in recent years. The XP-82 is now undergoing a complete restoration to flight status in Florida - from where this piece of the original aircraft was acquired in exchange for the commissioned artwork included in this unique display.
